I have been questioning myself about this sexual frustration as well but the best I've come up with is that some creatures just like molesting me until they managed to traumatize me with it. It's not that I believe in the Bible, don't get me wrong, I think that most of the writings are out-dated and ridiculous. But since I have seen appearances of creatures that addressed themselves az Michael and Azrael, I thought that they might be real, apart from the bible, and even apart of the term "angels". But I do believe that some creatures may pretend to be them, so my question "Are they real?" came out mostly of despair and pessimistic hope. What I truly believe though, is that some entities like playing around with me, and I wish I could know their names and nature and why are they bothering to bully me so often at night. I mean, I havent been watching scary stories, I try to think more positively yet there is always the same scenario...
No, I don't meditate.
Check out this thread here. It may help you understand more about the what is happening and why. Tests, quests and challenges are abundant in the "other realms". That is basically the form of communication there.
 http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/tests_quests_and_challenges-t46546.0.html

...on another note though. You have mentioned this "Angel" that addresses you. A "non physical" entity can take any form it chooses to accomplish whatever it is trying to show or teach you. Examples of this: Some of us do what is called "Retrievals". (You can search more on "Retrievals" in the upper right hand Search engine). When we do one of these to attempt top help a "lost one". We may use any form at our disposal and the entire environment itself to help the "lost one". But, we can't decide anything for them. Some things we do may seem to be harsh or cruel. But sometimes they are needed to help accomplish the task at hand. Case in point. I once had a Retrieval whereas it was on a woman that was severely abused during her physical life here. I tried to do everything I could to "heal" her. But in the end, "berating" her even more was what was needed for her to finally decide to move on. Sometimes in a "Mass Retrieval" a "oppressor"
has to be challenged as well. Retrievals come in all forms.

Here is a great one by Szaxx: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_projection_experiences/new_jericho_large_scale_retrieval-t42995.0.html
This is a thread I made here years ago: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_projection_experiences/souly_for_retrievals-t37273.0.html

Lastly to the add to the "Elephant in the room". The sexual/lust issue. I made this post in a thread that is probably now the most frequented here on Astral Pulse. After seeing how many people viewed it, I felt that people needed to see another point of view on the issue as well.
My post there was created on Sept 14th 2013, under a former name I used here on this Forum.

I'm so happy you are back, Lumaza! Two days before you reappeared, I was looking for you on the other forum. I started worrying.
It's amazing that your students succeeded with this technique. I agree, that Focus if so important not only for AP, but for any areas in our lives.
The following is a suggestion to everyone: Try focusing on the index finger of your right hand. You will see that within one minute you will start feeling sensations. That means your thoughts are alive, they interact with every cell in our bodies. They interact with all energy around us. They exist in all levels of the multiverse and can take our spirits anywhere. Think of your thoughts as the greatest tool you can ever possess. Many people think that thoughts have no measure,  but they are wrong. If thoughts became suddenly visible in our reality, people will be very careful with their negative and scattered thoughts. They manipulate the unseen energy at all time and manifest into events, circumstances, etc at a later time.
Continuing Focused thoughts have extra strength and power, greater than any of us can understand at the moment. And I do love focusing on inner motion. It's my favorite technique. I never thought of roller coaster, but I'll give it a try. :)
Thank You for your concern Lightbeam!  :-)

Robert Bruce's "NEW technique" taught me how powerful movement of energy could be. I love creating motion scenes. When I first started to learn AP, I used the motion of rowing a boat quite a bit. Then I read Robert's "NEW tech" and I began using that. It is an excellent technique to use to defer pain. It also works great when you have a tickle or itch while attempting to consciously shift. That can be very annoying in itself.

I'm wondering if someday Science will find that this is caused by manipulating some kind of "Dark Matter" or something like it. I have studied the topic of "Torsion Field Technology" and see that it explains this very well. You are manipulating some unseen energy. This is really apparent in that technique that I wrote using the "Phantom Wiggle". (That link is back on Page one of this thread)

Similarly I tried teaching a few people, at first it was a long winded technique with all sorts of stuff but after some time it fell to simplicity to basics. I used the the term focus more often and found they got better results. What I taught them isn't much different that what you have posted here.
I have tried teaching at a Community College in the past. I have also tried to help many people here via PMs and also a program that a 14 year old girl on Facebook created, named Destinies Plan. But it was rare that someone stayed interested long enough to put the patience, practice and perseverance that was needed to achieve success. Most of them got a "sneak peek" of what could be. But they all petered out after awhile. These people I am working with now are good. But like I said 8 out of the 10 are still actively pursuing it.

QuoteI asked them to think/imagine/visualize of a door, but more like the shape technique... I stopped asking what kind of door it is or shape or size or color because I found if you start asking them some people said that it changed when the question was asked, like at first it was a ruddy brown oak round top door then I ask them what its shape and size or color was and then it would change and as though the person was now uncertain leading to the door to actively change size and such as they were trying to think "or pick" colors and types that it should be and the door reflected this. But just asking them to think of a door and not questioning it they come up with their own usually a door that was familiar to them because I would ask them later what kind of door it was out of my own sheer curiosity but it wouldn't change. And instead of telling them again and again to just visualize this door, I told them to focus on the door if your thoughts stray bring it back to the door and just focus on the door passively, that it will take some practice but sooner or later it becomes easy. Used the term focus as often as possible, just focus... and it worked far better than visualize, visualize, visualize.
I think you misunderstood my directions. I am not there instructing them live. They have the "homework" of practicing themselves. My job was to just get the started. They don't know about the Doorway technique. I only gave them the basic 3 shapes to practice.
The Doorway tech is for people to use and question themselves. Shapes, colors, memories. All of those a "triggers". They all bring up a image. Think of the color red, Well, what was the object you "pictured"? Was it an apple. Think of a geometric shape like  a square. Now you will find that your mind races to find something to associate with that square. The same goes with memories. Everything creates a association with some form of imagery, feeling or thought. This is what helps you to disassociate yourself from you immediate physical focus. Mind you at first it's only momentary, like a blink. But with time you learn to hold it longer. The longer your focus is "there", the longer it's away from "here". Thus you find yourself disassociated from your physical body at the time.

QuoteI have my own issues with visualization/imagining at the moment which I might start another post for, but I am having problems with 1st person and 3rd person perspectives. As an example I do a visualization of shaking my friends hand, I can see myself or my body from a 3rd person view granted I have full control over it as normal I view it from the outside, and would very much like to take part in the scene actively from the perspective of my body. This does not pertain to dreams or lucid dreams those are always 1st pesron only when I am trying to actively visualize/imagine a scene am I stuck in a 3rd person perspective.
Continue holding your focus on whatever you are in 3rd person and it will become a 1st person view. You say it doesn't pertain to Dreams. But it does. I have had many LDs that began foggily in 3rd person view. Somewhere along the line while staying same scenario at hand, it became a 1st person view. I constantly have this happen. The thing with Trigeminal Neuralgia is it can really mess up your sleep. That in itself keeps me a light sleeper. But, I have had many nights of staying aware right into my Dream sequence. Those were nights that the facial nerves were overactive. This actually happens quite a bit too, unfortunately. The good thing taught me Tibetan Dream Yoga and what the Shaman call "Dream walking".
A good example of 3rd person to 1st person is I will be some scenario watching a horse run. It looks like I am behind it. Most of my 3rd person situations start like that. Soon I find myself getting closer, until finally I am riding it.
I have had LDs though that during the experience I switched back and forth numerous times between 1st and 3rd person views. Only when the Dream simulation had completed, did I see what was going on. It was a scenario where one moment I was outside watching a scene, like from a movie screen, the next thing I was inside the house acting in it from a 1st person. Then it cut again to watching and back forth for the duration of the simulation. It was surreal and very entertaining.

Thank You Subtle Traveler!   :-) Even in my worst times, I never gave up my practice. I did have to find ways to "modify" it though. I had "help" though. My Guides came through. I'm sure it is some kind of "test" on some level.
My Trigeminal Neuralgia is still there. But it has taught me so much. Pleasure through pain I guess!  :-P
Here is a great "Healing Mantra" for anyone that wishes to use it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdeR_sQnI3A

Thank You Xanth. I hoped you would understand.  :-)

Phalanx, Thank You for the advise. But this entire thread is about "Focus". Focus is the key.
The links I gave earlier to my other techniques and pertinent threads here are for anyone that wants to actually see different or others forms of "Focus". All of them are good. So, they don't need to be included as a write up. People can follow those links if they choose to.
I don't want the thread renamed though. My initial Doorway tech works very good and I have received comments in PMs from the info supplied.
But there is so much more I wanted to say. I know a "Sticky" would help give it exposure. What I was waiting for was correspondence from other members and people hiding in the shadows, before I actually got too much more involved in this thread. There is no use writing a lot more here if it isn't going to be seen or replied to. I know how to Phase already. I am reaching out to others that are serious to learn, to teach them as well.

There are so many awesome things you can do, especially when you can really change your mindset on things. Like for instance, lose the body. When Phasing, you are just a point of consciousness. So, lose the body. It doesn't matter if you have to visually "unzip" your "Human suit" or any other way to mentally discard the body. But once you do the "other realms" can be quite exhilarating. You begin to view it just like you do from playing a "Car Race" game in a Arcade or some kind of game console. You aren't moving anywhere. There is no need to walk, because you are there with just a thought. This is when things get really cool.
Now put yourself in that Doorway or dark cave. Everything is coming at you. The funny things is if the cave halls turn, you still feel a "real" sense of motion. Actually the whole exercise will give you a very strong feeling of motion. Where that gets really awesome is simulating a Rollercoaster scenario/experience. See how long you can stay in that focus. It's very hard because you never know what to expect. Just release, relax, let go and enjoy the ride!  :-)

For the past couple of months I have been working with 10 people extensively, off this Forum, that were serious about learning how to Astral Project from a completely conscious state, known a Phasing.

I didn't tell them about this or any other Astral related Forum. I actually asked them not to search the topic Astral projection period, because I didn't want them getting "tainted" from all the bad advise out there.

2 of the 10 quit when they first hit success. The "fear tests" were too much for them, even though all 10 said they could handle whatever comes their way.

The basic instruction I gave them was to just focus on 3 things. I used simple geometric shapes. But unlike the methods found in this thread here, I stopped at just a simple "square, circle and triangle" shapes. No colors needed. No looking for Doorways. Just simply holding their focus on 3 different shapes whenever they found the time to do it. Which isn't hard to do. You can close your eyes at "nearly" any time of the day to practice. (That was for all the people that can't find the "time" to practice)

They were to simply hold their focus on whatever shape of the 3 they have chosen at the time, for as long as they could. Nothing else.

The first problem they had is some couldn't visually focus. So, I told them just to "know" that that shape they had chosen was there and all of sudden the accompanying visual began occurring.
The next problem they had was they would chase, question and narrate their visual. Example: the box begins to morph into a different shape. Now, what's that shape? Is it a cat? Is this for real? What's a cat doing there? All I wanted them to do was to "passively observe" without judgement. In other words, the "left side" of their brain had taken over. To do this you need to use the "right side".

All 8 of them had their first successful Phase shift and 3 of them actually ended up feeling that an actual separation had occurred.

Xanth always speaks of the importance of Focus and finding your own focus. I agree that strong focus is crucial, but sometimes people need a bit more direction that just saying that over and over again. Xanth please don't add a link to your "focus write up" on your personal Forum. I just want whoever should choose to try this, to use just this simple technique for now. Once they begin to have favorable results, they can choose any Focus target of their liking. But for now, I just want to keep it simple.

I chose this "3 shape" technique because I wanted to see what the results would be of having 10 people that were completely new to "conscious shifting" using the exact same directions to gain success.

I chose the "square, triangle and circle" because they are very easy to visualize. Also because basically they can be found in basically any form of physical material. As I knew, it didn't take long for them to begin to see the shapes taking on their own lives. At first it was holding the image of the circle. But with time, they got better and better and could hold their focus for much longer. This took longer than a day or a week though before they could actually hold their focus on one target for a length of time. They just didn't get discourage and gave up, like so many others do. They saw it through and "trusted" that it would work. I'm sure they had their doubts though, like so many of us do when we are find this Art challenging. I use the word Art often to describe "Astral Projection" because the word Art, according to the Dictionary, is "a skill that is attained by study, practice, or observation."
Then it began to happen. The shapes began taking on their own life. They were morphing. At first, it was momentary fuzzy images. But in time it was full blown images, which led to scenes and then the feeling that they had actually "entered" their scenario they were observing. A couple of the people actually found a "mentor/Guide" as well. They were just simply focusing on a shape and then they heard a "voice". Just like all of new people to this Art, they immediately lost their focus and their session was ended. It happens. There is quite a bit you can experience that can and will definitely will "jolt" you from your current focus.

It is very hard to "consciously shift". I am not going to say this easy to do. But the "shift" you desire is a only a simple "shift" in focus away. You just have to get your "human conditioning" out of the way and "allow" it to occur.

Give these steps a try if you are "serious" about learning this. In time you can move up the entire "Doorway" exercise I began this thread with. But for now, keep it simple. Like they say" KISS" stands for KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID.

Practice often and learn to "allow" things to progress. Leave your "left brain" behind of now and just relax, release and let go.

I will return to this thread periodically to see what successes with this that you have found. Post your results or any questions you may have and I will try my best to answer them.

Have fun with this. Yes you can be serious about your intent and goal. But do not pressure yourself. Rome wasn't built in a day. Baby steps. A focused will and determination WILL lead to your success!  :-)

hmmm from my understanding you start on your back, then when the sensation that eggs you to switch positions you actually do it, and continue with your process? most expert projectors say to ignore the position change sensations, now i'm wondering if they were right. I mean tossing and turning is part of the process of sleep, getting into a comfortable positioning, then you start reaching these altered states of consciousness, and as long as you are aware you can even project from it awesome, I might actually start doing this and see how it works out.
You need to ignore them to a point. Earlier in the process it is okay to scratch a itch or re-position a arm or leg. But as you get deeper, you convince your body that that you are asleep by not moving at all. You can turn off that itch or impulse to move by simply focusing on a point of direction or a part of the body completely opposite of you body. (I use a point at the bottom or under my feet). Hence entering "mind awake/body asleep.

A good practice before you do this is to do some kind of "progressive relaxation". It doesn't have to be long or complicated. With practice you can do a good one in about 3-5 minutes.

LIghtbeam's tech (which I thoroughly enjoy) involves creating a swaying or focus on some kind of thing that creates motion. She does that as she falls asleep. You could use a "hammock" swinging motion. You could be swaying in the waves from a boat, etc. It doesn't matter as long as it is a swaying focus or body related motion.

An interesting concept, it actually has occurred on a global level at the turn of the century. The random number generators used in a long term scientific study of which I can't recall at this time synchronised way outside of anything on record after the 9,11 incident. This project also noted similar effects where the populations thoughts were of a singular nature.
It has been done on a grand scale of synchronicity by many people thinking of a single desire to give peace to the world.
It is real and the percentage of those in the experiment wasn't that high.
I'll try to recall the long term experiment and post it here.
Gregg Braden often speaks of this in his videos and seminars. It is part of the "Global Coherence Initiative".
https://www.heartmath.org/gci/
Further research has been done using Monks and Jewish Rabbis that have created recordable "physical change" by conscious will.

Check out his website. He has some fascinating research there. He is very passionate about this topic in general.

Edit: I had to change that link for the Global Coherence Initiative. I also had that name wrong too. It wasn't the Global Heart Initiative. It was the Global "Coherence" Initiative.

For some reason lately you have to work extra heard to pierce the "veil". But it can be done.

Sometimes a look back through memory lane is what it takes. In other words, return to your initial Journals and go back to square one again. I found that the more I learned about projection through videos and books, the harder it got to project. I had to find something, a technique I was comfortable with. Then I honed it and shaped it to a way that fit perfect for me personally.

We always say it takes a strong focused will and intent. But it also takes common sense. Patience, practice and perseverance will get you back in the saddle again. Just like my "sig" says here "  To be successful with Astral Projection/Non Physical Exploration, your will to succeed must be much stronger than your acceptance of failure".

You have come to the right place Fcojosedea. If you are willing to do the work, I know others here and I also would be happy to "tutor" you. I will say though, I have attempted to tutor many people in the past and the success rate isn't as high as I would have liked. But like I say, if you are dead serious about this, we can help you fulfill your wishes.

 Welcome.

I think with your physics background, you might like this approach. Perhaps you could help Vessen further his studies as well.

There are some other threads that are found here that utilize "etheric" energy as a focus while attempting "non ordinary states of consciousness.
That term was penned by Stanislov Grof. He uses these states for NP (non physical) exploration and sees a real healing potential there.

This is one of my personal favorites.

Most people end up here because of such "accidental" projections.

You've taken the first step to a long journey.  :)
In Happyplace's case the term "accidental" is warranted. But I don't think it shares the same "characteristics" per se. as a "spontaneous" projection does.
Happy's experience occurred as a result of meditating on his 3rd eye while falling asleep. In other words, there was some form of intended experience or at least knowledge of what meditating could lead to.
The majority of people that I hear that describe their own "spontaneous" experience say that this happened right out of the blue. They went to sleep as normal and at some point in time during the night, they became aware that they were looking at their body sleeping or that they floating above it. There was no intent or meditation ritual that they performed before sleep. Many of these people didn't even know what "astral projection, was to begin with.

Don't forget that energy work also involves thought, for the most part. Focussed thought. Energy goes where your attention goes. Attention is focussed thought. Hence: You also heal with thought when you heal with directed energy / attention.
My opinion is that anyone that says there is nothing to "energy work", hasn't actually done any themselves yet. Just take a look at this thread. Give this an honest effort and you will see for yourself or should I say "feel" for yourself, how real energy work really is.

As Xanth says, it is belief based. But isn't the entire practice of Astral Projection "belief based"? Belief is a big part of everything we do. Belief creates our reality or should I say at least it plays a major part in it.

my guess is to test our readiness, for the guidance we seek. I also think that before we incarnated we ourselves came up with these like secret passage tests, so when we came to them for a certain thing, they employ the test to see if we were ready, but this is  just my opinion.

I agree with your guess Bloodshadow. We do prepare beforehand to make sure the time is right. Many of these tests are doing just that.

A scary creature is there to see how you will not only react, but also to help you become lucid period. Your ability to see it for what it is shows that you are ready to see more and because of that, you will be shown more. Like they say, you are only given in life what you can handle. In the NP, it is no different.

I found this quote here and it seemed to be fitting to our previous discussion here. (Sorry Nameless I don't want to respond on anything about Religion, other than to say that "some" people do need the "structure" that it provides.)

Congratulations Sammie!  :-)

Positive progress is always a good thing. It seems like your will to succeed has been answered. All that preparation, known as ritual in Magick, has shown your "higher self" that you will indeed work towards and achieve your goals.

Following the flow of the "Astral Winds" is a great target for a strong focused will and intent.

One thing I really liked in your preparation was this quote here "One thing I did was thinking about manifestations in the evening and thinking that everything is already there and the universe is just working out the how and when and I don't need to do anything else than to be thankful and expect a big surprise for whenever it is."
By doing that you created a positive affirmation in the past tense, as in "already done". That is a very powerful technique in using "affirmations" to achieve your goal, no matter what that goal in life is. I used it often in my sales when I was younger and still use it to achieve goals in my life today.
Trust is a extremely powerful word. I live my life by the code "Trust in the Universe/Multiverse". How do you do that? Give this link a look at. She has 5 great tips on doing just that.

You may not have to 'get out' but you certainly need to 'get in' to comprehend the basics of the mental and the more involved you reach the depth becomes inaccessible as our minds are not ready for this.
Excellent reply Szaxx!  8-)

You are so right. Experiencing the awe and things you can see, feel and "know" in the "mental planes" is many times something we don't even have words here to explain. These are the areas of spiraling Mandalas, grids, portals after portals, motion at faster than the speed of sound and the most unique part of it is you are just consciousness itself, totally devoid of any kind of physical body/vessel. You are just a simple point of consciousness absorbing all you see and experience.
Sometimes it gets to be too much to bear too. It is so awe inspiring that it shocks or sometimes tends to overload the "Human side" of your consciousness and you need to click out or abort it.

The RTZ has it's benefits as well. This is your first step to proving to yourself that this is something real. You can hear about OBEs/Astral Travel from others you may know, but it only becomes real once you prove it to yourself.
You may get a "sneak peek" of the other planes, but normally a new person's mindset is still solely on "physical aspects" of things. Your first experience period is normally a sneak peek of the RTZ and that is a lot to absorb at that stage itself.

What is so special about astral projection? I'm thinking specifically about the etheric and astral body. Why not just go straight to the mental plane? On the mental plane you have no need to 'get out', you don't need to be able to fly or vanquish bad guys.
It gives you the opportunity to have a awe inspiring experience consciously aware from a different view point per se. The "etheric and Astral bodies" are normally experienced in a RTZ outing and what you experience in the RTZ seems quite a bit different from the visual extravaganza that can await you in a mental projection, like Mandalas and all kinds of unique visuals.
Most of my OBEs are spontaneous and they occur in the state of SP. My Phase sessions are always initiated by me and my LDs seem to lead to both areas. I find myself on all kinds of different planes of existence in those ones. I also find that different cycles of our Dreams lead to different areas as well.

You can learn to become proficient in all aspects of non ordinary states of consciousness. You can have a OBE, LD, mental projection. You could also Scry, remote view, etc..

Most people understand the term OBE as being "only" a out of body experience. They think of Phasing as "day Dreaming" and we already know what they think Dreaming is. So, their initial goal is to actually have a OBE in the true sense of the term.  Their first experience with projection may have come through a SP experience or they might have just all of a sudden become consciously aware while sleeping that they were already out of their body and now they want to learn how to repeat it consciously again.

Phasing or the "Mental Planes" seem to be a progression that one experiences when one wishes to delve deeper into this Art/practice. It's kind of like "Level 2". The more you are open and serious to it, the more "new" doors seem to open to you.  :-)

QuoteIt seems to me being on those levels is about as tiresome as being on the physical level where you have a physical body to drag around.
It's also tiresome in how long it takes to achieve a good strong mind/awake body asleep state. A OBE in the true sense of the word takes quite a bit longer to achieve than a shift in consciousness achieved by Phasing. (I know you know that Nameless and ST. I am just stating that for other members here that may be reading my reply here.)
It used to take me anywhere from a hour-hour and half to have a OBE, whereas I found myself in the RTZ. When I spontaneously awoke in SP, I had to not only gain my bearings quite quickly, but also to control my fears and realize exactly what was going on. I don't care who you are, when you first awaken in full SP, it is quite a shock to the system. Sure, you soon realize what is happening and why. But the initial shock is still there.

I think my example would be less visualization / imagining and more of a simple focus.
I agree. But it doesn't really matter what you are focusing on, as long as it isn't your physical body. A conscious focused will and intent is all you need.

QuoteMy active visualization skills to imagine or visualize the things I would like to willingly is quite poor, however I can hear and feel the texture of things quite well like imagining an apple with out the image, I can feel the apple, hear that strange almost hollowness when you tap it with a finger and what it sounds like to take a bite out of it, but I cant hold a visual of it for any extended period of time. If I try to visualize things its like constantly changing the channel on a tv. Though I am working on visualization I am getting it to where the image changes and takes course like a movie instead of the constant flickering and changing of subject and such.
You are doing great. There is a commercial out on TV that says that the average person can only hold their focus/attention on one thing for about 8 seconds. But the more you practice, the better you get. This practice in general will get you to ramp that number right up, quite quickly too.

The real adventure and fun begins when the "scene" begins to takes course like a movie. At first you are watching it. But if you hold your focus on it long enough, you will find that you are now "in it", actively participating in the scenario at hand.
Like I said above "you are doing great"!  8-)

Can we travel to a vacation resort to experience peace and tranquility, for example?
Yes, you can visit your "Happy Place". I rather enjoy that method. It starts with a focus on your "imaginary" target, example, a Island beach setting. But soon you see that things will start occurring outside of your "intended" script and that's where the adventure begins.

To do this, you need to be able to hold a strong focus on that area for a extended amount of time. You create the visual (imagine where you want to be), then hone in on it like a heat seeking missile or "Pit Bull' and don't let go until you wish to end the session. It is hard to do in the beginning. Just holding a mental focus for a mere couple of seconds can be difficult at first. But you get better with practice.

...and yes, you can receive "precognitive" info/material in these states as well. Sometimes it is received "out of the blue", with no intent on your part. Other times, you can use your intent to possibly take a glance "ahead".

Write down your experiences. You will find that somewhere down the line this reality and the "others" begin to come into "sync", especially via the state of Dreaming.

We need to all see that there are many ways to achieve a good strong "NP" or "other realm" focus. Just because one way doesn't work for you, doesn't mean that it doesn't work for someone else. It also doesn't mean that it isn't possible.

I experiment often and find many ways to achieve success. There is "creative visualization", tactile focus (as I stated above) and yes even the do nothing approach (even though that approach does take a long time and can be rather boring). You can use a pre-nap (as is discussed in Bedeekin's thread here on the Astral pulse). That one will normally lead to you becoming aware in a the state of SP, like Lightbeam does. She uses a tactile approach/motion before she goes to sleep to achieve the state of SP, instead of using a pre-nap.

Find what works for you, but don't stop there. The way to keep this practice "new", is to constantly challenge yourself to experience anew.

Are there any separation techniques that don't involve visualizing an object?
Abdo7649, you could use a "tactile focus" approach, akin to what I do in the thread "Phantom Wiggling". No visualization is needed in that that approach, you are just getting in touch with your "etheric body". Vessens's Vehram program and Fred Aardema's "Vigil Method" also use a tactile focus.
Here's a link to that thread: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/how_exactly_do_you_perform_the_phantom_wiggle_method-t44583.0.html
Here's Fred's Vigil Technique:http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/the_vigil_method-t37291.0.html
...and lastly here is a link to info pertaining to Vessen's Vehram System: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/the_vehram_system_is_truly_brilliant-t29333.0.html

Thank you for your answer.
Can I ask you,how you find your purpose?
By observing not only what's outside of you, but also inside of you as well. Listen to your passions, your desires. What are your goals, your aspirations?
You don't need to answer this here. But you do need to answer that to yourself.

!Warning!:English is not my first language.

Since I was a child I've started thinking this world is not my home, and I've wanted to leave it.
I read a lot of comments here about helping people and INTENTIONS, but the truth is, I don't really like people nor I hate them, but don't care about them. From childhood to these days I like to being alone and isolating from people. Everyday my brain asked ,,The Question": When we'll leave?
It's not depression, I think depression doesn't really exist, It's just you realize that you are powerless to live in peace without others harming you in any way.
Getting to the point: If I exterminate my body I can go to the place when I feel at home and I'll be powerful enough to not being harmed?
I know, one of you wrote comments to suicidal people like: if they kill themselves they have to come back to learn the lesson, and their higher self is more intelligent than they. But what the bloody hell can I do If I'm just hate living here, happy pills can't help either?

I think many of us here have felt that way before, myself included. I always knew this wasn't my "home" and I when I was young I felt that I wanted to go back as well. But then "life" kicked in and showed me not only purpose as a whole, but my purpose here as well.

You and I and everyone here chose to incarnate and for some people "reincarnate" in this realm for a purpose. Maybe you help others by just "being". Maybe you are a "Record Keeper" and your duty here was to observe.  Perhaps you are here to heal yourself or others. You came for a "vacation" or to find love. There are a number of reasons you may have "chose" or been "chosen" to come here.

Learn to just observe everything around. You can still feel like a "outsider", but a outsider with a purpose. I enjoy "people watching". You can learn so much that way. Just as you can also learn about life by observing "nature" itself.  :-)

...and just know that there are many "others" out there in this realm and others that feel like you do. I know that because like I said, I am one of them. But we have always find a way to exist here. Find your purpose and learn to observe more. You will soon see that this realm really is an extraordinary place to be.

Talking to a Professional, Family and/or friends about your feelings will help as well.

...and lastly, turn off the news. That stuff can make anyone depressed!  :-P

Before that around 9 years old I used it to get back to earth after going that far out in our universe, it was the tiniest speck of light in a grainy blackness with a hint of red.
I haven't seen it. But I have had experiences whereas I was being "pulled" backwards. So maybe my cord is invisible or it fell off, lol!  :-D

Hey Samwise. You should ask Luis why he doesn't visit this Forum himself. It's just a "internet click" away. He could converse with people here one on one if he wishes in PMs. He could also view people's personal experiences.

I heard him on Coast to Coast AM a while ago. I agree with a lot of what he says. But he is also teaching people too much about his "perceptions. He was talking about the silver cord that "everyone" sees. That is not true. I have never seen anything attached to me and I have experienced non local states of consciousness countless times via true OBEs, Phasing and LDs.
