Could we, through auto-suggestion alone, start reentering dreams automatically, lucidly, every time we woke in that state?

Anyone with such an experience here?  I've been considering giving MILD (or my personal version, Crazy MILD) a new look, which is where auto-suggestion came into my head.

Thanks for any thoughts
Yes you can. It starts with "Affirmations" You also need to get good at logging anything, no matter how trivial you think it may be, in a Dream Journal upon awakening. By doing this you are entraining yourself to be aware in your Dreams.

I wrote this thread under another former name here "Lionheart" on this very subject. I call it "Re-scripting", Robert Moss calls it Dream Re-entry and I use it often. It started when I started to do my "affirmations" and journal logging on a regular schedule. I saw it as a natural progression. I don't awaken first then go back in. The scenario will normally end abruptly and find myself back in it again. There is a brief pause, but at no time do I become consciously awake to the point of being back in my bed again. I am consciously aware in this new reality though.

You could also do a Forum search, using the search window in the upper right hand corner of the page on the word "Re scripting", to find some other posts I made here on that topic. I wrote about it often here.

Any advice?
Yes. Explore the Dream adventure. It sounds like you were lucid or at least semi lucid. Find out why you were there. It could be the "sex theme" was there just to wake you up to the fact that you were Dreaming in the first place. You can control "your" own actions in a Dream. You could increase your lucidity in said Dream very easily by grounding yourself further into the scenario.

Just curious, what do you expect from Astral Projection?  :?

I have been practicing AP for almost 3 years now. I meditate every day. I learned how to AP and LD on my own years ago long before I ever tried this pill.
I knew who you were. I used to reply to your posts often back in 2014 under my former name "Lionheart". That is why I didn't see any harm in you getting "assistance" from a pill and I replied accordingly.

I watched your progress through the years.

But I will say that I am also a member on some other Forums and for some reason many practitioners seem to be experiencing a major drought with projection lately. I used to be able to become lucid in my Dreams almost on a nightly basis. But lately, I am awaking with just bits and pieces a recall. So much so that I have been going back to logging in point form. For some reason though the bits and pieces don't seem to be aligning together at all.
I also haven't had a OBE for about a month now and my Phase sessions seem to strand me in the 3D darkness, the "void". But that's as far as they go.

I did have a weird LD a couple of nights ago where I was stuck in some kind of maze/gaming World. It was a constant battle in that one. Humanity was completely out of control and there was strife and chaos everywhere. I certainly hope that this isn't the path that the "collective" consciousness as a whole is choosing now. This World needs a lot of healing in every meaning of the word. Fear and uncertainty seems to be the current mindset of the general populace today.  :|

So, what is most important in our earthly lives? Focus on developing spiritually or "being on earth" or both or something else?
A healthy balance of both!   :-)

But there is a problem...
Too many people come here asking questions about pills wanting them to become their only doorway to projecting.

THAT is a huge problem.
I agree, kind of.  It's not a tool I would *EVER* suggest to anyone.
Especially if your goal is to do this yourself.  There's no replacement for hard work and dedication... not popping a pill and having it do it for you.
You don't learn anything doing that... and more importantly, you miss out on the most important part of all this: the journey.

You find out so much about yourself through the journey... skipping it, even for a brief glimpse, is like robbing yourself.
Sadly, that is something people don't learn until after they've already ruined it.
I agree. But I also see this as being "a sign of the times". Hard work and dedication is sorely missing in this "NOW" generation!   :-(

I travel quite a bit in my occupation and I see the general populace often and I can tell you that my statement above is dead on, people are being taught everyday that everything can and should be at their fingertips. So now they expect it as well. We are very minute part of general populace. On this Forum conversations of this nature are normal but outside in the general populace as a whole they are very miniscule.

I have never had any problem with hard work and dedication to achieve a goal. I have stated often here that it takes practice, patience and perseverance to be successful in this field. But I see that things aren't going to change soon. If anything it will get worse, before it gets better.

I stated that if this "pill" was safe to use, that it was okay. That safety would have to be confirmed by a Physician or Pharmacist. I have never used a pill. But I do use a Light/Sound machine occasionally and my Binaural Beats and Isochronic tones often. They are also known as "training wheels". But in no way do they lesson my experiences. They do speed the "prep work" up quite a bit though.  :-)

I used to naturally be very good with patience but it seems that lately it has been slipping away. Does anyone have any tips that I may use to help grow my patience?
Learn to relax again. This can be done with techniques like "progressive relaxation" and as Phildan1 has stated is very easy to achieve with the help of "relaxing" music. Try a couple of the songs on this playlist. They are almost guaranteed to relax you.

Song 54 is excellent. It uses Alpha to Delta brainwaves. Just start the video, lie back in a comfortable chair, close your eyes and relax, release, let go.
I really enjoy the combination of song 41 Facing the Unknown and 42 Taken up into the Sky. Back to back they put me in a great state of mind to Phase/project.

Now the problem becomes... did you have the projection because of the pills or because you wanted it badly?  Guess we'll never know.

And therein lies the problem with popping pills.
There is no problem.  :-P

If it's not broken, don't fix it. In other words if it's working for you Aaron, keep it up. As long as they are safe to use, there is no harm here.

They just help you to experience this new realm consciously aware. You still have to navigate the surroundings once there. Just to become aware in these new areas will train you what to do when you become aware in the future "without" the use of the pill, which is known as a "tool".

Tools are very helpful. You could basically call them "training wheels" and just like what occurs while learning to ride a bicycle, you will outgrow their need as well.  :-)

Sometimes I get the full body muscle spasm at the point of transition from waking to sleeping. I think it is related to sleep paralysis, it is common for a limb to twitch before being completely locked down for sleeping. I can only speculate as to why it is sometimes full body and more violent - my intuition says this happens because there is still a small amount of conscious mind acting on those muscles, and that causes tension and conflict when sleep paralysis engages.
Thaomas, those are known as "Hypnagogic Jerks" and they occur when you first begin to actual see a scenario unfolding in front of you, while entering the Dream process.
I have slowed my "wake to sleep cycle" down so much so that I could experience every single transitional occurrence that there is. Hypnagogic jerks are a part of that cycle.

One thing that is important with using "affirmations" is you need to word them in a past tense. Meaning you don't want something to occur. You are wording it so it is "already done".

Example: I wish to have a LD/OBE tonight, would be now "I am lucid in my Dreams, "knowing I am Dreaming".

My night affirmations goes like this. First I release my focus over my physical body.
"By my act of will I release my focus over my physical. My consciousness stays aware as it is free to travel, explore and adventure, while my physical body rests, regenerates and rejuvenates (heals). I have full memory recall of my adventures upon my awakening. I then log them in my Journal."

In that simple affirmation I have covered all the "bases". I use this every single night. I have been using a adaptation of this every night for about 4 years now. Brain Entrainment is very important. I used the "rest, rejuvenate and regenerate part as tech for "self healing".

I used to use "Brain entrainment" while younger setting and achieving sales "quota" goals each night, before the next business day. I was in a high pressure door to door sales working for a traveling firm and they were "slave drivers". I was young and naïve at the time. But I learned quite a bit from that job that helped me in my further occupations and basically life in general.

Do any of you know if there is anyone anywhere taking down all this info for comparison?
I hope not! I know what my intentions are, but I don't know what other people's intention may be.  :?

If these downloads were for everyone, then everyone would be speaking of them. But that tends to not be the case. At least people being "conscious" of them that is.

I wondered why they would accept a human into their ranks.
I would say it's because you passed their "tests".

Myself and others on this Forum have also been involved in some of these "otherworld" society scenarios. They are usually quite involved and there are many tests and challenges that one must confront in them. You might also find that this is the first part of the story and that you will may recognize another trip to this area in the near future. These are what I like to call "continuation" adventures. I experience quite a bit of "rescripting" in them.

Here is a thread I once made here on "Rescripting". This one was one of the first experiences that I logged here back in 2012. I made this thread under another name I once used "Lionheart" on this Forum. Since then I have had many many re scripted adventures in the "otherworlds". Some of them I call "Lifers". Because in one night I have lived lifetimes. Those are incredible adventures.  8-)

Agreed, but aren't you curious as to what?   :-)

It doesn't worry me but I do want to know what my 'other' awareness is up to. It's like wanting to know what the kids are up to when they're late getting home.
Indeed I am curious. Curiosity is a big part of Humanity itself.  ...but then "trust" sets in and replaces the curiosity!

Okay. First I am not talking about the astral stuff (that's just fluff). I'm referring to the maps, written text and symbols. I would like to be able to know what those are. Lots of stuff there but these aren't just imaginings, they come with the 'downloads'. Unless I can understand them there wouldn't seem to be a point.
I know this isn't going to help you at all, but this is the conclusion I have come to. We do understand what those "symbols/texts and maps" mean. But this understanding is on a level that our "Human minds" can't comprehend. We are being shown what we need to be shown.

Why else would we be shown things and given "downloads"? if we couldn't understand them on some level, they wouldn't be necessary period!

Ah ha, thanks for the definition of Phasing. :)
Here is a fantastic introductory thread to introduce you to the Art/skill of Phasing. Everything you find in this practice takes, well, just what it says "practice". You learn to develop and hone your skill further. But that also comes with patience, practice and perseverance.  :-)

I find that with my eyes closed and my mind reasonably empty ,images pop up spontaneously before my «inner eye». I do not have control over these images, nor would I want to interfere. Such images involve landscapes and people mirroring my waking memory.
Hi Serge. Your statement above is the definition of Phasing. You could jump start the process though by using your imagination. But soon, the scene will take on it's own life. That is when you need to hold your focus on the scenario at hand, which in turn takes your focus away from your physical body and "allows" your consciousness the opportunity to explore without a "vessel" to worry about.

Phasing occurs when you allow yourself to be immersed in a scenario outside of this physical reality.

I have a technique that makes it so much easier whereas I simply focus on my physical body/form at first. Then I watch as it disappears piece by piece. Once it is gone from site, the only thing left is consciousness. That technique is great for removing pain as well.

I think people make the act of visualizing harder than it is. Think of your favorite hobby or sport. Think of a certain "word". Now close your eyes and view it. It's that easy. You don' have to get into creating elaborate fully vivid things. Start easy with something like a geometric shape or a apple, banana, etc. The key is to learn to "hold" that focus. Watching a candle burn in a dark room is great for this because if done long enough, a imprint of the flame/burning candle is created that can be seen immediately after you close your eyes.

Any thoughts?
My only thoughts would be that as I have found, our experience seem to be tailor made for us. So, what do "you" think this means?

When I had my last few "download" experiences I was being bombarded with symbols akin to some kind "ancient cuneiform". It was like these symbols were being "imprinted" into my subconscious mind. I was totally aware and the accompanying sensations during this event were overpowering. It felt like some kind of "brain overload". The accompanying "energy" was quite intense. There was no other party around that I could see. To tell you the truth, I don't know if I could say I visually "saw" these symbols. It's more like I melded with them. One of those experiences that is very hard to explain using our Earthly physical terminology.

I remember some of the symbols, enough to recognize them if I saw them again. Immediately following my first download experience I went online and did a quite detailed search for any "cuneiform" writing I could find. But, nothing matched it exactly. There were a few that were close though. Cuneiform writings seem to share the same characteristics.

Everyone can visualize. Start with a simple geometric shape like a square. Close your eyes and see a square. Now a triangle, now a circle. There, that's visualizing.
Here's a simple method to help you with more. Always start with something easy though, because if you can't see results with something easy, you will likely give up on this whole idea period. There's no race here.  You do get back what you put into it though.

They are extremely powerful experiences and impossible to ignore or forget. You may forget most of the imagery, but not the event itself!

 Welcome Nameless!  :-)

It's nice to see someone mentioning the "Custodians". I call them the "others". But the name Custodian works as well.

I find I go through periods where I become "jaded" with the internet as well. But my frustrations come from attempting to help people achieve success and then finding that they weren't serious to begin with. You make a bunch of great threads and posts and yet the same questions get asked over and over time and time again. I like to talking to people in person "live" because I can visually see their anxiety to be successful with AP. On the internet I just have to rely on "gut" feelings, which is a gift of knowing.

But I see you are in good hands. EscapeVelocity is quite knowledgeable on this and many other topics and is also quite helpful to those that seek and will do the work needed for success achieving "non ordinary states of consciousness".

Whether it be by OBE in the true meaning of the letters, Phasing, LDs and even remote viewing, you have come to the right place to learn.

Hello Qess and Welcome!  :-) It sounds like you passed your initial fear test. Good Job!  :-) That one is usually quite intense.

I think you might find your answer in this recent thread here that another member here created. You will find that almost always, if you are or have experiencing something or are having problems with some step with achieving a non local state of consciousness, chances are someone else did too. Many of those answers can be found on Forums like this, but you just need to do some "searching" on those Forums to find them. This Forum is loaded with great advice. Pay particle attention to the "stickies". They are the threads in BOLD BLUE LETTERS
