Dream and Projection Journals / Re: tides2dust

Inspired by questfinder, I prayed to God before going to sleep- "What is real?"
..."What is reality?" "What is the nature of reality?"

I didn't have much to recall by way of dream before waking up near 1:30AM to use the restroom.
My mind was distracted with thoughts of strange encounters with new customers from earlier in the day. I was not enjoying these thoughts. It was difficult to fall back asleep. So, I again asked God... "What is real?"

My room is very bright at night, I live in an apartment complex with an artificial light attached to a pillar resting just outside my bedroom window. For this reason I've installed black curtains in my bedroom. The only light that comes through it now is near the top of the curtain rod, it makes all the difference.

As I'm laying there, thinking on my discomfort, my inability to sleep- I see my old friend Joe. He's in my room showing me a mudra with his hand. I don't understand why he is so insistent on showing me, and he proceeds to explain to me some new discovery with his connection to Egypt and it worries him. He is concerned by this jewelry which has attached itself to his left side. Suddenly he shows me the amulet bracelet around his left wrist and on the same hand... what looks like, probably, a ruby red and gold ring on his finger. He is trying to talk with me but I am still laying in bed unable to sleep. I can feel something in our connection.

Suddenly I see, in my amazement, a peacock resting atop the black curtain rod in my room. And like that I hear, "HuwaReiiiiiii" deep form within my core- a completely different voice, singing/chanting this name. "HuwaREIIIIII- HuwaREIIIIIII" each syllable is causing the peacock to rustle its feathers- the procession picks up when suddenly the peacock spreads its tail feathers, completely blocking out the light coming into my room. I don't stop- I chant once more and the bird swoops down off my curtain rod and comes directly towards me onto the bed. Its wings are spread and now I realize I am in between wake and sleep as his feathers and body engulf my minds eye.

I wake up in a state of panic and shortened breath. The bird came so close to me, unafraid. Brazen.

This entire time I thought I was awake, laying there in my bed... Joe, my friend... The peacock angel, my vision- everything was so real...

For this reason, I am awake now recording. It's 4:02AM... This experience ended around 3:30AM...

Hello, Questfinder, a warm welcome to the Astral Pulse.

As others have mentioned me, and as you yourself found yourself here at this page and its related query EXACT to my 60th birthday I find it fitting to jump in here with everyone. The others have covered things nicely at this point but I will add (what everyone here already knows) -- our lives and practices wax and wane. They breathe! Everything you and the others have said nicely shows this. It is good to hear that your life is bringing you back to APing, back to expanding your consciousness out beyond the 3D Earth-life frequency. At times we focus more directly within it, and at times we breathe, or otherwise push out beyond its boundaries. It is good to be meeting you at this juncture. I am in California, USA, where we just had an incredibly large earthquake as I sit here typing this. Another sign? ( !!! ). How fun. Whew! That was scary, the aftershocks will be significant, I suspect. Interesting times, to be sure.

Regarding the weekly meditation Eric and Carla have mentioned-- it is currently just once a week on TUESDAYS @ 3PM PST : this is the link : jump in with us anytime. Just to say, it is not guided, this is a silent sitting meditation **though there are no rules, some energy work during the sit, some chant (with microphones on mute), some work on the breath, etc.. On any given day, practice what you will. The idea of the group is to help hold us accountable to the practice, and to enhance our personal practices through the days between when we next meet as a group.

I am a disciplined spiritual student who has been practicing since age 12, and began teaching at age 38. At age 44 I experienced an awakening that involved Kundalini, the OBE, ET contact and activated a dormant spiritual skill within me that I won't go into here but if interested this can be seen on the website I keep as well as my youtube. All of what I have mentioned, at this point remains constant in my experience. And more is gradually working its way into the equation.

I look forward to interacting with you here.

Hi QuestFinder! Welcome to Astral Pulse :-) . This is an incredible forum filled with the most exquisite information gathered over more than 20 years! All the members here have helped me advance by leaps and bounds over the past almost two years.

I completely understand your situation. About 14 years ago, I started my formal practice, which reached a fairly high level, and then I abandoned it. I got stuck and didn't know how to move forward from where I had reached. I had no idea how to transcend, knowing that there's something beyond leaving the body and moving in different environments. That's where internal spiritual work comes into play; we shouldn't change our environment, but rather ourselves, so that our environment changes. And that's also applicable in the physical realm; only there can we transcend.

I think it's great that you're looking for a group, but finding people around you who share these things is quite a challenge. That's why I'm so happy with Astral Pulse; it's the only place where I share this kind of experiences, reflections on life, and my deepest existential questions. Plus, all the people here are beautiful Souls with a strong desire to help!

Here, you can create a journal in the "Dream and Projection Journals" section. There, we have a record of our own processes and those of others, and you can also leave your advice and opinions in the comments section.

A little bit about me. My name is Carla, I'm 34 years old, and I live in Argentina (South America); I speak English, Spanish, and a bit of Portuguese. I want to learn Italian because I have citizenship, and I'd like to be able to go to Europe for an extended period someday. In my work, I meet people from all over the world, and I love learning about new cultures and traveling.

I've had many conversations with Tides (Eric) via Zoom, and the chats have been truly enriching!! :-)  Maybe someday we can all chat together about the topics we love most. There's also the meditation led by Casey, where we've experienced some pretty unique things live.

It's great to meet you, and feel free to reach out to me if you need anything! If you want to send a PM, I'm also available.

Hugs!

Hi questfinder.

Good morning~

I am excited to meet you, even if you're joining Casey's silent meditation- I am sure we will have ample opportunity to discuss as time unfolds. I think I may learn more from you in our fellowship of Self Discovery~

The things I wish to reclaim aren't necessarily willful AP~ the ways I understand AP may be different than you, especially when we take time to consider "school of thought" and which "doctrine" one is referring to. Nothing official here, I have not invested in the manner you have. Do not interpret our coming together as a determent to your personal endeavors.

As a child, I loved my dreams. And, I have accidentally slipped out of body on a few occasions. As for present moment, I am interested in marrying the concept of material and immaterial- though these things are already, it may be better said I wish to understand the harmonious nature of this reality- as you seek to understand reality in your ways.

I have had phantom touch, scents and literal manifestations- things appearing from quite possibly the astral and manifesting here in the physical plane we understand as 3D material Earth-Human experience.

The world of magic, Gods, ET's, the Living Present... The Guiding Spirit- the intimate relationship with this NOW-ness, where one is more present than present... Which(granted) sounds quite nonsensical... But once experienced, maybe others can relate to what I'm reaching for.

In that space, the astral and the material dance together. Yes, that space interest me. It will be nice to put a face to the name in our group meditations, so... I hope we meet you tomorrow God willing~

Kind regards~~

From what you have shared so far, your early experiences has most similarity with a meditative method which has become to be referred to as "Phasing". You can find great introductory information about Phasing on Xanth's webpage:

An Easy Guide and a Step By Step Book on Astral Projection

Here you also view/download Xanth's excellent book:

What is Astral Projection, and How To Do It

Also, over a couple of decades ago there was a member, Frank Kepple, who was an expert and highly accomplished at Phasing, who most generously shared a considerable amount of knowledge here on the forum, which can be viewed/downloaded here:

Frank Kepple Phasing Posts

I should add that even though your earlier experiences arose from a meditative state, now you are older a different approach might be more appropriate. Phasing though is an excellent place to begin, and lays the foundation to experiment with other methods should phasing not meet your objectives.

I agree with Lumaza with regards to group meditations. They certainly can serve a purpose for some people and objectives, however, success at Phasing requires absolute focus, concentration and motivation with no distractions, through which, when persevered with, Phasing can become a progressively easier and a more natural ability. With regards to maintaining motivation, there is always support in this forum, but ultimately it is preferable to develop a level of self-discipline. Buddhist monks, sitting together, as a group, in meditation, are not are not there to motivate each other, but to focus within themselves, which is also true of Phasing.

I too hope to reclaim some things. Presently, I am a part of a Tuesday meditation group hosted by a member I met here. (I think I met her here???) omcasey
I extend the invitation, https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/omtalks/viewtopic.php?p=6016#p6016 and encourage participation both on this forum and over in the zoom meditation(if you're able).
Out of all of the forums I am a member of, this is by far the more active and diverse(even when the lack of activity may seem disappointing to others).
Practicing in the group has reminded me of the importance of practicing alone- both are valuable.
I hope you're able to reclaim your abilities. There is another forum member, Tak who participates in the group meditations as well as her own disciplines.
Would you like to share more about yourself? My name's Eric- I am a 36 from Houston, TX.
Maybe we can meet in zoom and practice together.
Welcome to the AP~

Thank you very much! It's what I am looking for. I will join your group. As for myself, I am a F35 from Europe. I started being aware of the subtle plane as a child and did some form of instinctive meditation ever since, and then I would naturally leave my body. As of now I have learned many things about the astral dimension, but my purpose didn't change.

For me aping isn't a pastime, it's my main instrument of finding the "truth" of reality, as well as true spiritual self-actualization.

You said that you wanted to reclaim your abilities too? Are you presently able to aping, if you don't mind me asking?

Quote from: Adrian on April 13, 2025, 02:13:52Welcome to the Astral Pulse.
Well this is a primarily a discussion forum as opposed to a social network type scenario, but that said, here you will find a wealth of information and discussions on AP, OBE etc, and experienced projectors who are generally willing and able to help with any questions you may have. "Out of Body Experiences" are a completely natural ability, but which requires a disciplined and focussed approach as opposed to serious training.

Thank you for the warm welcome, I will read the threads carefully :)

Quote from: Lumaza on April 13, 2025, 18:17:43I have been a member of some live groups and they never worked. About 10 years ago I was the teacher in a live in person group. One by one the group dissolved. As you said, many times "life" can trump all. It was "fun" for a while. I wasn't looking for just "fun". I was hoping some of them would find this a serious practice. I talk to many people at the Wellness shows I am a vendor at, and they tell me how hard it is to find anyone in their area that can even understand what they are even talking about.
The thing is though, you can learn how to "consciously" exist in a multiple realities. You just need to create a "balance" to do that. In time it becomes your new "norm". You have to be "self-motivated" to succeed with more than a "sneak peek" though.

Hello Lumaza, I understand and share your frustration, I am not trying to project to have an adventure. I have a purpose that didn't change with time. For me, astral projection is part of who I am, and was an integral part of my spiritual practice. I will try to learn what you advised me. I hope we can find time to talk more.

Dream and Projection Journals / Re: Notes on Dreams as Guidanc...

Greetings and welcome to the Astral Pulse!

I like your descriptions. I find that we go through a "progression" of sorts as we learn to be consciously aware in our Dreams. One by one we seem to check off the boxes on your list.

During the Wellness shows and Renaissance Faires that I vend at, I come across a number of people that LD almost every night. One Mother and Daughter were the first ones to use the term "Dream Walker" while talking to me at a show in Kansas years ago. They told me they shared quite a few Dream experiences as well.

I would add one more to your list and that is:
Continuation Dreams. These are those dreams that seem to be puzzles that take quite a while to answer. I had one memorable one that went over 100 nights in a row. That one was about a Retrieval experience of sorts that took a long to finally see the spirit decide to move on. I have had some of those "continuation" Dreams that that took a few years to finally come to the finale.

Learning how to LD has many pros, but I think some people may overlook the cons. One of those being that your Dream experiences can be so emotional that when you awake, you keep that same emotion and "mood" all day long Sometimes, it takes a week to shake. It can be that powerful!

Hi all 🌙

I've recently returned to dream journaling in a more focused way and wanted to share a few thoughts that have come up along the path — mostly as a way to organize my own journey, but also to connect with others here who might resonate.

✨ Positive-feeling dreams — These tend to leave me feeling lighter, clearer, sometimes even energized. I've started viewing them as messages or confirmations from a helpful force. I try to remember them in detail, even days later, and often find subtle meaning on reflection.

🌘 Heavier, darker dreams — These can sometimes come with emotional weight: fear, self-doubt, or pressure. I've come to recognize them (in some cases) as forms of spiritual resistance or even energetic "interference" — especially when they strike during periods of growth or clarity.

🔁 Recurring dreams — Whether light or heavy, they always seem important. I'm paying closer attention to the emotional tone: whether the dream is trying to affirm something I already know or nudge me toward something I'm overlooking.

I've also had a few lucid dreams where I became aware and was able to test the "quality" of the space — whether it felt like a safe and good place to stay, or somewhere I needed to exit quickly. That inner compass has become a useful guide.

Still figuring out what all of it means, but this journal is part of that process. 🌀 Would love to hear any reflections or tips if you've been down similar roads.

Thanks for reading.

Warmly,
Neil
