You know I have thought about that before.  I was some what curious if some one would check out a site like this in order to target people of a different faith or view point.  I also kinda wonder if they would look for a specific point of view or blanket the whole group.

Anyhow though, I openly welcome any whack-job to come looking for me.  I may be a spiritual being but that doesn't mean I am not well armed.

All beliefs are ultimity "false"

the one whom HOLDS the beliefs is equally "false."

Beliefs are based upon the assumption there is a 'person' present to believe anything.

This is not a matter of a believer / nonbeliever.

:-D

Not to throw a wrench into your logic but would that include the belief that all beliefs are false?

Let me ask you this.  YOu say that there were other explosives, and blah, blah, blah. so that the towers would implode rather than fall over.  What would be the point?  If the government, illuminati, or what ever shadow government you want to blame this on, WHY WORRY ABOUT HOW IT FALLS?  Why would they care if they were willing to spend the money and kill the people anyway?  Why?  Why rig it so that it falls straight down doing less damage rather than tipping over and spreading the devistation?

Give a valid reason for that and I might reconsider your point.

I was 150 feet away from a small one, a 240/120 step down, when some one in a crane cruched one of the breaker panels it was servicing.  Everything was okay until the emergency power system kicked in and re-supplied power to that unit.  Then it popped.

Yes they are located in desinated areas however they can be any designated area in a building.  We have at least 6 different ones in our building that are above 480v that I know of.   And they are scattered through out the building in electrical/mechanical rooms.  I know that we use up to the 660 step downs in three different spots.  And these are all 400-600 amp circuits.  And this is only a 7 story building.

But then I also think about generators and such for emergeny systems that would have been scattered through out those building too.  We use two back up generators, one is 1.5 Mega Watt and the other is 1 Mega Watt.  A building that size would need 4 or 5 more those sizes and they more than likely need to be put in more than one location because of distance to service areas.  That or they would need to be considerabley larger and need to run up to comperable transformers.

Like I said also there are also other equipment that a building like that would need that would also be scattered through out the building.  Boilers, chillers, Air Handlers, motors, pumps....the list is rather long.  All of these things are for the most part safe under normal operating conditions but when a buildings structure starts to become damaged these things can do all manner of things.  Anything from simply shutting down to going critical and exploding.  I have also seen a boiler that went critical and jumped 9 feet off it's pad ripping all the connected piping loose.  This was just before the gas line exploded that was connected to it.  That pushed it another 4 feet.  They weren't sure if the gas ignited off of the hot metal from the boiler or the electrical that was connected to the boiler.

I know the only OSHA guildine for most instances of equipment is that it is in a location that is acessable for equipment removale so that it does not become trapped.

One of the things that I don't understand is why this just keeps getting bigger and bigger.  I also don'y understand why people, more so those propigating the lie, continue not to believe what happened.  Most of these are based on either bad science or theory only with no real world aplications.

In this case secondary explosions are extreamly easy to explain and have been.  I don't know if any body here has ever been near an electrical transformer when it has blown.  Even a small transformer like one in your computer can sound like a book hitting a desk when it blows.  Building like that have ones that have 100,000 times the load on them.  When they go they can be heard and seen from miles away.  Also a building that size could have well over 100 of such transformer all various sizes.  Not to mention all manner of other mechanical devices, pumps, motors, compressors, water heaters, and so on.  Any on these things could have problems after a mass shock to the main systems of a building.  I could go on.

But have you noticed a lot of the things being said about the Pentagon have stopped since the recording of the plane actually hitting it went public?  However because of the scope of the Towers we may never know the actual order of events or what were some of the things that people heard after words.  We have at the very best educated guesses based on known building design and logged information about what was going on that day and with what.

Personally I don't believe that the action was grander than it was.  I don't think the government did it or was involved in it.  The only thing I think they may have done was drop the ball on the information that they had.

Well just a short up date.

What I was feeling before has passed into just memory now.  I am no longer feeling it constantly.  A couple of days ago I decided to try and contact my grandma while I was asleep.  Focusing very intently on her before I went to sleep.  The result was a multitude of odd dreams that seemed to melt away as soon as I woke up.  I can only remember snipets and can not seperate them out into different dreams.  But I woke up and was feeling better.

The odd strings of words at the bottom of spam is or at least was an attempt to by-pass certain filters that various e-mail providers use.  I actually don't get the ones with the wierd text anymore.

Hi cainam_nazier,

Is this the first time someone in your immediate family has died?

No, one of my Uncles died from liver/kidney failure (heavy drinker), and my Grandfather on my moms side died about 2 years ago from a stomach ulcer.  But with them it was didderent, I knew that they had passed but I didn't actually feel it.

Do you still feel her presence?

I don't feel her presence, but I can still feel her pain and confusion.  But now it's not like she is around but that emotional content is.

I'm not sure if any of these thoughts help. I wish I could give you something definitive, but I can't.  :|

Actually it was very helpful, and I might try some of that in a week or so, if it is still bothering me.

Dude your at the pulse!
if you want to run from all this stuff dont leave more than 1000 posts :)
just concider that you are developing your mind and bodys every day. an incencetive instrument is about as handy as a house brick to a surgeon. maybe that when she was confrounted with all the good she had waiting for her she was in bliss and she wanted to spend the remains of her time close to this world being in the hearts of those she loved

if your not going to love her and miss her who will?. dont you dare miss her just love her each day the way you always have. she is just un able to answer the phone right now thats all.
and if it hurts its only because she is such a lovely woman and it will be a while before you can hear from her again

Nodes

Nodes, I do still love her and I will miss her.  But I do like that thought, "she is just unable to answer the phone right now".

It's not that I am trying to run from it or anything like that.  It's just this is a new experience for me.  My areas of knowledge and experience don't, or rather I should say that they haven't run into this thing before.  It is my hope that talking about it will help me understand/deal with/get a grip on what is happening.

I hae had to deal with other peoples emotions for a long time, I am used to that.  But this is different some how, maybe because it is so close to the heart.

I am having difficultly getting this out in the way that I want...So please bare with me.

I often know when a person dies, or is getting ready to.  Oddly enough my chosen profession put me in locations where this happens frequently.  But I have never really felt some one pass, at leat not while I was awake.

Saturday morning my Grandmother on my fathers side passed away.  I am one who accepts death rather easily.  It is after all part of the cycle.  But the problem I am having is that I felt her pass.  I felt it as clearly as if I was in the room with her.  I can accept her death, that is the easy part.  But I am left with this pain that is not mine, a confusion not generated by my own misunderstanding, and a burden that I should not have to bare.

I am consumed by that whole night and I wonder if this will continue to be my lot.  I do not mean for this to sound negative but there are others that I am tied to stronger than I was to my Grandmother.  I am to feel thier passing as well?  Will it come through as clearly as hers?  Why was this placed apon me to begin with?  What am I to do with what was placed apon me?

I do not feel that there was anything that she left undone.  But she had a strong will to live and although she passed physically in her sleep she struggled against going.  There was much emotional pain and fear.  I think that she was mostly fighting against her fear, the not knowing what was to happen.

I dunno my thoughts are becoming too fragmented...

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Reality Checking..
August 15, 2006, 03:34:36
The checking the hands is a helper.  The real idea is to get the thought into your mind about questioning your reality.    If you can put yourself in a state of constantly questioning your reality that will carry over into your dream.  "Am I dreaming?"  Then you look at your hands to confirm your situation.  The problem I think you are experiencing, and that every one experiences, is that your brain is just automatically accepting the situations it finds itself in.  IE it accepts what ever reality is there.  So the thought never enters your brain or rarely enters it as to wether or not you are dreaming.

Sorry had to re-read your post.  So yes the actual checking of the hands would come after some hints of awareness.  To have any control at all you must first question whats going on.

I know most people just say to do reality checks through out the day.  However I like to tell people to include an extra one every time some thing questionable happens.  Common examples.  When you misplace some thing you just had in your hand, an unexpected event like some one calling you that you didn't think would, some one you know acting out of character, anything that strikes you as bizzar even in the slightest.

If you accept every thing in the real world as part of reality without question then it will more difficult to get your awareness to carry over into your dreams.  Question everything.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Reality Checking..

The most important part of doing the reality check is to ask yourself if you are dreaming.  The idea is to question your own reality.  The purpose of doing the reality check in a dream is to ask yourself the same question.  The fact that the question even crossed your mind while you were dreaming is a good thing, and yes I would consider that a normal progression to the process.

Part of the trick to staying in the dream after you have realized it is a dream is to try and stay calm.  At first you almost immediatly get excited because of the realization of where you are.  You also tend to experience a reality shift or expansion when your awareness kicks in.  This is a matter of getting use to it.  But staying calm will help with the transition.

I dunno.  Shared dreams are usually between people who know each other.  YOu can definately recreate some one in your mind, all the way down to personality traites that you know they have.  With people you don't know, but have seen, your brain tends to fill in the gaps based on what you believe they are like.  Ultimately though I sappose it is possible to share a dream with some you that you don't know, but there are several things that would make confirming this difficult.  IE. Can you identify them as more than a dream character?  Confirm that they too had the same dream?  and so on.

Warning, believing that you shared a dream with some one you don't know and truely believing that they were acting as they would normally is very much stalker behavior.  It is one of the main reasons stalkers believe that they know so much about the person they are stalking.  They have dreams and fantasies about the person and believe that they were real.

Now I am not saying you are a stalker, but it is something to think about with that line of thought.  But on the same note that is how a lot of attacks on people happen.  Through dreams.  The attacker usues a dream as a portal into the victims mind, gaining thier trust, and using it to carry out what ever thier plans are.

On a side note.  I once had a dream that I hit the lottery......Then Brad Pitt came along and was trying to steal my ticket.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: reading while dreaming

http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=870642

This site has the easist explination of what I was looking for.  But read that.  It is one of the reasons I asked if you were actually reading or not since the area of the brain responsible for making out the shapes and forms durring reading is not active.

However after doing some considerable looking around I found several places, mostly in book excerpts, mentioning that a it seems that a person can relearn how to read in dreams.  However most of the time this is reported in people who also mention being aware durring thier dreams.  There was also some mention about other higher learning functions being relearned durring dreaming.  Most of these studies sited an overall increase in brain function for people reporting being aware durring dreams and being able to read, write, and do things like math durring thier dreams.

Wierd Al is the bomb.  I own every thing he has ever put out.  I am that kind of a geek.
#67
The ability to read simply is not active in the artistic side of the brain that dreams are generated from.  It is a matter of science.  Give me a day or so and I will dig up the info.

I put to you these questions though.  Are you absolutely, 100% sure that you were in fact reading while dreaming, and not simply getting the impression of the text but unable to make out one single word repeatedly?  Were the words changing at all?  As in you would have to make the attempt several time before actually getting anything out of it?  And if you could in fact read are you sure you were just dreaming and not in a lucid dream?

When you simpley wake up and remember a dream you were just dreaming.  But if you are actively thinking in your dream you are in a lucid state.  It is the difference of remembering a dream and experiencing it.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Dreaming of an OBE
July 16, 2006, 15:04:25
Personally I find dreaming about OBE's or trying to start one from a lucid dream to be problematic.  The big thing I wonder about is whether or not it is an OBE or just an extention of the dream.  It can be difficult to tell.
#69
That is good progress though.  At least you had the inclination to do some kind of reality check.  The more and more this happens the more likely you will become aware in your dreams.  Looking at your hand is not enough, your brain has to process why you are looking at your hand.

Interesting.  I have been doing this for a long time in working on other areas.  I never really thought about applying it to projection.  But I do know that this same technique can be used to enhance any ablities that you may already have experienced before.  I have found it difficult when looking for new things however.  But they are in there.  But just as a mild warning, the looking around for new stuff is what lead to my burn out.

My average body temp is 96 to 97.  It never goes above 97 unless I am sick, which doesn't happen too often.  To the best of my knowledge I have no serious health issues, st least none that have been mentioned to me any time I have been to a doctor.  I have noticed though that I expend a lot of thermal energy.  I am typically warm to the touch, warmer than most that is.  And I sweat very easily.

As there are no other things going on with me I don't worry about the low body temp.  As the 98.6 is an average there are bound to be people on both sides of the extreams that function normally.

So unless you have other conditions I would not worry about it too much.  But keep it as a mental note if you develope other problems.

Welcome to Dreams! / reading while dreaming
July 12, 2006, 03:46:38
Yes, it's true, you can't read while you are dreaming.  That is because reading is an aspect of the logical mind while dreaming is an aspect of the creative mind.  It's the whole right brain, left brain thing.

In normal dreams I can't read either.  But I have noticed that I can look at some thing that is written and know what it says even though I can not make out any words.  It's the same as being able to understand people in your dream that seem to be speaking a language you don't know.

However I have noticed that I can read just fine while in a lucid dream.  I believe that this is because while in a lucid dream your conscious mind is active and there for both sides of the brain are working.  Although unfortunately I also loose the ability to understand people who are speaking different languages.  But that rarely happens while I am lucid anyway.
#75
I will chime in just once more with two things.

Yes definitely go see a professional you can talk to.  I am not saying it so they can try and "fix" your mental gender orientation.  But I say it because you do have some very real problems that need to be dealt with.  It is simply not healthy to be angry at the world.  You need a real world outlet for your emotions.

Secondly, read and think about Nay's tag line.
