Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Exit Points?

Love it.  So easy that way isn't it. :-)

I watched the video.  Here's my thoughts extrapolated from my experience.

His English is a bit rough in areas, the choice of words can make it difficult to understand exactly what he is picturing.  I wouldn't necessarily choose particular words due to the semantics involved but as a non-native speaker I think he did well.

Some things that struck me...he noted that there were seven layers/bodies which overlay or exist simultaneously.  I only noticed four distinct bodies, but can see how there could be more due to shear demarcation levels(as in distinction), as well as that which I have yet to explore.  He does go on to describe how/why he labeled them as distinct, which I am also in agreement.  I do differ in that he says it's impossible to experience/interact one say physical from say (his terms for other bodies), etc.  It's not impossible, just difficult, for me at least.  Also, it the difficulty increases in terms of waking activity, say OBE as you are walking/talking is much more difficult than projecting from a reclining position.  It can be fun to "toggle" or "click" between them, explore how each is unique, etc., for simplicity sake, and as this subject seems to be a bit of a trigger/loaded for people here, I'll limit my discourse.

The methods he describe are sound, nothing that hasn't even been suggested to use in many of the stickies here even.

He mentions Yoga Nidra, and don't have a problem with what he says there.  Like I said, his English is rough, and I think a bit is getting lost in translation.  Some of his techniques I don't prefer to use, that's not to say they are wrong, but rather it doesn't fit my personality.

So not much to say really.

So I'm going to place you down for one favorite exit point then.

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Exit Points?
October 27, 2015, 02:28:36
I've noticed that there are particular exit points, which can lend to unique experiences in and of themselves, and have my preference in terms of leaving/projecting.  My favorite exit point is through the head, especially the top of the head, or phasing out till I can merge with space(which I'm not sure counts as an exit as it's more like expansion), but each one has it's unique flavors.

I'm not sure how many people like to experiment with methods thought it would be fun to put in context then ask:
What's your favorite exit point and why?

So anyway, as part of my practice, I've been merging my consciousness with space/consciousness.  I don't know if that counts as an OBE or whatnot, but I focus in on a point till vibrations appear, body disappears, and "I" am nothing more than thought floating in space or consciousness.

So I've been having a problem where I reach a limit where it feels like death or dying.  Naturally induces a fear response.  As I trouble shoot, say in the last thing, I merged with my room as a blob of space, rather coarse sensation, unlike the finer merging with say light, etc. More like a wave or bubble floating in mass/space. Not really fully out/in, more like encompassing.

I had a minor semblance of my physical body lying somewhere in the center of the blob that was I, as I moved my consciousness blob to expand outwards, I noticed fear arising.  As I moved further away from where I ascertained my physical body lay, the fear increased accompanied by the alert sensation of a presence.  In terms of synesthesia, it was a glowing word of "presence" that would appear in the space, with the tingle of fear.  As I pulled my focal of consciousness closer to central point, fear subsided(as did the word).  I played around in moving my awareness around, testing the boundaries of fear, how did it feel, where did it arise.  I felt a presence, but I couldn't tell if it was me being aware of my body; or my body alerting me of my consciousness(Like a feedback loop).  I lacked a particular amount of discernment in figuring out the cause as well as solution.  I twiddled my non-existant thumbs for a bit then just hopped back into my body and began to dream.

How does one transcendence the fear boundary?  Tips/suggestions? Thanks!

On an egoic/surface-conscious level, no.  But then I've also had experiences where it doesn't really matter or I'm really not ready.

QuoteActually, I believe that whatever we decide about '(not) coming back again' here has no impact on our decision on the other side. It does not matter what we 'decide' here. This decision would be part of our karmic or emotional load we carry with us. It does not matter.
I've had several experiences with my higher self, and guides, whom also said similar.  Also, my higher self had told me that there are times where I am told to incarnate, where needed on, an infinite basis(akin to on-call or stand-by).  My higher self also told me I have alot more lessons to learn to do the things I want, etc.

In my inexperience, things are very different in a non-physical environment, no-time, no-space, pure thought; when I experience those whilst projecting I still may hop back into my body or hold a dual awareness between sleeping body in bed, and projecting.  I imagine if I was ready to stay out of physical, I'll need to leave my comfort blanket of a body or that reassurance of a body behind.

But I figure, hedge my bets in my favor irregardless, then I'll have awesome experiences(life) irregardless of place, space, or time(or not).

QuoteMaybe I will see you on the other side. Apologies in advanced if I am mean to you after all I am only sith.
Lol.

I've "eaten" whilist out, I went to a restaurant, and ate a steak, it was like eating it in reality, but better cooked than I could have done.  It was so funny, it was warm, complex flavor profile, etc.  I was impressed.  Normally I don't eat when out, but it can be fun.  As I understand it, it was more like reliving a memory in 3d, or revisiting.  Another thing which was fun, was opening up a book, flying in, and experiencing it, stuff comes out kinda funny that way.

No ideas?  I read how one person asked to experience concepts, I thought that was interesting and something I never thought of before.

So I guess #1.  Be a color or perhaps a rainbow.

Perhaps, this is a bit goofy, but anyway, thanks for looking!

I've been told by various sources, in many manners, that due to my linear thinking, I'm trying to translate various experiences into what my mind can translate/understand.  Thusly, I get a distorted view of how these things are, that I need more experience, not ready, etc.  The best translation would be akin to:  I am 2d(which was a fun experience) whereas the things I'm trying to experience are 3d.

I thought it would be fun to challenge myself and find inspiration/ideas here to try whilst going out.  Or helpful phrases or intentions, I keep hitting a wall there.  I figure a hundred and one is a good number to set me for a while.  So ideas?  :-D

QuoteFor me, inner work means connecting in my spirit to God which is perfect love.  All fears and doubts fall away when I do this and I am left experiencing my true self which is peace, love and joyful confidence.
Oh, okay, never thought walking that route to do inner work.  I can see how it would be effective though.  Especially with what you say in regards to love.

QuoteI also affirm to myself beliefs I hold, such as - All good things (things that help us to grow) are meant to be experienced and our only limits are the ones we put on ourselves.

Any affirmations or truths you hold that help bring you to that unshakable place of inner peace should be repeated.  I use bible scriptures such as - "All things are possible for those who believe."  and "Perfect love casts out all fear."  The important thing is that they should be very meaningful to you personally - impact you at that your deepest level - the level where you know that this is your truth and no one can take it away from you.

Little doubts and fears try to chip away at our 'truth' every day but a little daily inner work will bring us back to that place of confidence.
Very good advice.  I'm going to have to contemplate on what you said for a bit.  Thank you!

QuoteLast week I got pushed back in my body and I even felt my back hitting the sofa as if I was out of phase and got out of focus. But I wasn't even aware I was out before getting pushed back.
I hate it when that happens. :-P  But if I can figure out pm, I'll send you a detailed reply.

Also, ditto what Szaxx said.  I staying still really helps me, going to be a little tired or reading a boring book helps too.

Great suggestions.  I can really relate to what you are saying, and very clear.  If I may, how do you do inner work to gain confidence?
Thanks Soarin12!

Hi Everyone!

Okay, so it's been a bit of a dry spell for me.  Optimally, I'd like to AP/OBE at will, during active periods it's effortless but for the past while, it's been difficult to even reach that point, and then when I do manage, it's brief, and I get pulled back as if I hit an undertow or undercurrent in an ocean.

When I get pulled back into my body, it's for no discernible physical cause, I may wake up or fall into a black-abyss like slumber.  And it's different feeling from falling back, which is more of a rush, rollercoaster feeling, with intensity causing a distinct slam(or subtle slip in/out, or click).

Anyone tips, suggestions, etc?

Thanks, I'll look into astral wind, it's a new term for me.

QuoteIf you can get relaxed and rather than stating passive, concentrate on a song or something you know that's relaxing. Set this in your mind as what you want to actually hear clearly. Keep intent on achieving this and don't expect it, just think it would be nice to hear it as you would if physical wearing headphones.
Try this early in the phase. It should yield results. The visuals may not appear, this occurs as your mindset is active on audio only.
I like this idea.  I'm more auditory than visual so it's up my alley.  Looking forward to testing this out tonight.

Of course it's possible, my grandfather had tk abilities, and would flip lights switches on and off mentally, and made furniture creak as his signature "I'm on my way home, schtick."

It's not uncommon for unborn kids to let their moms know who they are before they are born as well.  Kids have lots of energy, sometimes, it can spurt out unexpectedly and cause an object to move or affect lights.

Your her mom, trust your intuition, I hope she maintains her ability up through adulthood.  So cudos.

I'm not familiar with the term astral wind, but here's my run down.  I've found HH occur more frequently(or can stay in that transition easily) when tired or relaxed, lying flat on back(less occurrence on stomach, and dramatic decrease if I lye on either side).  First, I listen in, pick up that faint buzzing, hum sound.  Tune in till it envelops both ears, then shift to thoughts as my sense of body fades away.  I may hear talking, singing, music(drumming), doors opening and closing; if so I'll focus on those, by alternating between listening in and focusing in, then do some internal work, and then pop out and travel, or ask for help from HS.

If there isn't much sounds, aside from that distinct buzzing, I continue to focus on that, I may see flashes of light, fragmented kaleidoscopic images.  My guide told me to practice focusing in and expand on those, so I do.  I do this for a bit, they may expand to rotating imploding & exploding fractal images, occasionally I will hear voices, but mainly focus on the imagery.  The buzz tends to get louder at this point, it may reach a to the point where it sounds like a jet engine, and very much a wind like feel, not sure if that is the astral wind though.  Usually I just wait for the pulling feeling, it can be from a thought, or dream, where I feel like I'm getting sucked in, but stay on the precipice of it and use it to catapult myself out.  It can be tricky though, where if I get pulled in, que dream, if I catch it and pull out too fast, I slam back into my body.

I've also noticed, and this occurs during meditation as well,in regards to the flashing lights, they seem disjointed at first, but when I relax enough, combined with concentration, there is a point where there is liquid-light flowing in through the top of my head.  It occurs at the location of the crown chakra, and rather than wait for that pulling feeling, I push myself through the tunnel(looks goldenish), and instantly am flying out.

Why not?
I've floated behind myself, watching in third person, both while asleep(dreaming body as well as physical body sleeping in bed) and awake.  Turns out we have many bodies, we are more than our cells, shape, etc., physical, emotional/astral/dream, and mental.

The mental "I" is more akin to formless, timeless, self-illuminating.  With an obe, that "form" we use is just a tool to interact with the environment, and can be divided, and I can "toggle" from 1st person to 3rd between them, as well as from physical to none physical, it's quite fun.  So it's not that unusual for me to hear your friend experience it to an unspecified degree.
So yes, experienced it, is it just a dream?  Well, I've done it in dreams(3rd person), then decided to leave the dream to a full OBE, so it can be, but it's up to the person.

Very true, I forgot about that, as you say it's so natural.  Personally spent many a good times doing that as a fun way to get out of a boring experience, to try and focus as much as possible on say a tree, or a bird outside a window, then feel as if I was the bird, their perspective, feel of the air.  Not just imagine, but almost like be it, bringing in as many senses as possible.  :-P

QuoteAnd now you come here saying casually that you were in the RTZ with a friend and all.
Is it the casual aspect which bothers you so, or that I mentioned another, or perhaps both?

QuoteNow in these 2/3 years that this has interested me, I never had one experience that felt like I was in the world so to speak with my spirit.
I'm not sure what you are trying to say.  I've experienced a lot, from my perspective over the course of time, but know that what I have is but a miniscule fraction of what the possibilities could be.  I'll do my best to answer your questions, but I don't like typing novels, mostly though, I'm not sure how much of my experiences I'm willing to disclose just yet, due to how I don't see a benefit in arguing perspectives, or inadvertently triggering someone....so I'll skim the surface for now.

how you and your friend leave the body I practice a few techniques, friend does the Robert Monroe techniques(not sure what that is though).  I do a couple as to cover my bases.  It begins with the day, where I work to bring mindfulness to each moment, or awareness of my actions as I work; this is so when I dream I'll more likely realize it and jump out of the dream to an obe or whatever.  Then I meditate prior to going to bed.  As I fall to sleep I do the mind-awake(focusing in, listening in stuff), body asleep thing, when the vibrations get strong enough, I'll work on wiggling out or if I get bored with that, go deep within where I can work on inner stuff easier.

How you perceive your surroundingsDo you mean how I see?  Like I do in this world, but can choose to operate from either the astral body, which is similar to the physical body, or another body which is more like a point of conciousness. So sometimes I use my astral eyes, which are a facsimile to physical eyes, but prefer to use my mind's eye which is more 360* or laser-like depends on focus.

How you perceive eachother I perceive him as himself, but lighter(less dense), if I scan him, it's very much an energy-like body but with a tether to the physical body.  So I can trace him back to his body, sometimes I may see a silver cord coming out of him.  As to him, he describes me as more dream-like, perhaps foggy.

If you talk with eachother after the experienceYes, it's fun to compare notes.

QuoteYou have some part that your afraid of and won't accept.  Your seeing your mind working when you project. The shadow cannot merge with you unless you open to it. It cannot do it against your will... and neither can any other being.  The fear your probably dealing with is fear of possession or fear of loosing your identity. In fact that fear may even be what that shadow form is.  All thoughts become as living things on the astral plane. The RTZ is also a shadow form and that belief is based on Fred  Aadama's work plus what I know from experience.  Work with accepting the fear and the entity will disappear.
Awesome, thanks.  Yeah, my friend and I were discussing if it was a shadow aspect.  I like how you brought up the shadow aspect, I definitely that part of fear or nonacceptance as that is what literally happened.  I can see how the fear may even manifest itself as a shadow form, it's happened before, but usually I have an easy time communicating with it, at which point it would tell me, hey, I'm your shadow aspect, let's merge.  :-P  Guess this is a really big fear though, I need to button down and work this out. Thank you, gave me some great pointers.

Thank you Fusions and Bluefirephoenix, practical advice is just what I needed.

So as I was out and about with a friend in the RTZ, I noticed a non-physical entity in the vicinity, I wasn't sure what it's purpose was, but after scanning it, we decided since I have the most experience, I'd make contact, whilist my friend would go back to his body and ground me. So I watched him fly back, he didn't touch my hand when he slipped in, but I wasn't worried, as he was so much more aware than I had ever seen prior(normally he sleep APs).

So I wait for the entity to come by, it looked similar to that No-face in the movie Spirited away, except it was more hunchback-y and literally had no face.  It didn't communicate in pictures, nor words, or any of the standard methods normally encountered.  I decided to try and link up or make a connection with it.  As I did so, it formed a face, male, pointy bangs, no eyeballs, it seemed to be trying, but I felt a spark of fear, I was merging with it, it was a large emotional entity, but at a rate faster than I could control.  It communicated with emotions, not my thing, and it was so fast, high frequency, I started to feel a panic, so I yelled to my SO to ground me, he didn't budge.  I yell, louder and louder, no effect.  He was so out.  I was rather ticked as I didn't want to full merge(I have a big fear of it), so I split my consciousness into my body and try and move my finger to touch his body.  But when I did so I had sleep catalpsy, I'm feeling more and more fear, try and force my finger to just move enough to ground but not wake up entirely, but FAIL.  I did move, but woke up my body.  I slammed right in, jumped up, yelling at SO nonetheless who was still asleep.  I try and go back out, but just couldn't manage.

I'm pretty frustrated with myself right now.  This is a perpetual problem, which I feel hinders my progress, and certainly cool experiences.

Whenever I meet a higher frequency entity, I feel like I'm going to die, the vibrations can be rather intense, but I know from prior experiences, that relaxing helps, but I tend to resonate with fear instead or resist which complicates the pattern.  It feels like I am dissolving into the other entity, I've heard people digging that whole bliss-merge-into-one-with-universe-stuff, but everytime I have a chance I panic, unless it's a more mental based entity, in which it's all good, with none of that bliss stuff.  I'm not sure how to describe it in other terms, but electrically speaking, the grounding works the same as it would for household wires, if that helps. :-P

I'd like to transcend all of my fears, but atm this seems to be a real impedance.  Any tips?  I figure working out the fear would be the best option, but struggle with as too how?  Is there a way I can ground myself internally whilist traveling(rather than depend on say....my SO's energy field)?

What if your consciousness isn't limited to one form?  What if you can be aware of being in two places at the same time?

Anyway, yeah familiar with that kinda thing...fun stuff.  It fun to experiment with multidimensional states, and seeing things from multiple angles.  Or playing around in both physical body and astral body at the same time, yet holding awareness of both.  I found it a good tool to trouble shoot or for investigation and comparing experiences.  :-P

That's really neat how ayahuasca provided that catalyst of experience.  I not very familiar with the plant, nor other shamanistic plants, but a friend of a friend had taken seer's sage or salvia, from what I heard from my own friend; it was also eerily similar, but as I understood it, she panicked and swore off anything that would replicate such an experience, never even heard much of such things prior.  I'm glad your experience was positive.

In my own personal experiments, there are many keys to the doors of perception or specifically; ways to experience a geometric like simulation or however to call it; personally by means of lucid dreaming(as a gateway), meditation, OBEs, AP-ing, WILDs, and based on local culture or understanding I will include: self-hypnosis, psychosis, schizophrenia, depersonalization, derealization, bi-polar, (from my own region, conversations with educated people various fields, but especially psychology, any astral travel is considered a result of mental illness, and generally reacted to with fear.  Those are the most common labels attached to astral travel that I've heard.) under the umbrella of key or tool given the misunderstanding/mislabing of altered states of mind in my own culture.

I have noticed an alteration in complexity as well as nature of patterns in association with vibration or what frequency I've been attuned to, it's pretty fun to play around with phasing and watching the alterations as well as level of immersion.  Those are neat pictures, did you do them?  They remind me of the patterns I've seen, but also a top view of a sound I was listening too, whilist meditation, I focusing on sound alone, and as I heard a bag open, I saw a bright light, my eyes were closed, and it was dark(eyes closed), so I just mentally focused on the sound, and looked as if the sound unfolded and I saw undulating waves of light rising and falling.  Just to me, there is so much beauty and depth in the world.

I wonder why the visit with your grandmother worked out the way it did, it sounds like it was wonderful though.

Thank you for sharing your experiences, I loved reading them.

That sounds like it was quite a lesson, really important and highly applicable to a broad amount of situations.  That's true what you say about too many techniques, and the best is desire and intent, sometimes, I like to shake things up in using an object or technique for a means of focus, but underneath it all, it's really the desire and intent that matters.

I haven't experienced the imprinting/retrieval of info, sounds like it would be quite the experience, and fun method to learn about other forms of existence.

I haven't done any retrievals yet, I'll probably go look that up, to make sure I understand the term, but there was one, where my neighbor's sister died, she hanged around my house for a bit.  I have a gatekeeper set up so I can project without being bothered, and after a few days, finally got an okay to talk to her(she had been banging on the door to my astral room); but when we did, she was in her own mental construct; I constructed a particular room for us to talk, asked her to come out and into this room, and my spiritual teachers and guides freaked out; covered my eyes, and whisked me away.  They said it was to protect me as it would have been traumatizing to see her.  Maybe later, much later, I'll learn about retrievals.

Thank you for taking the time and answering so many of my questions, as well as giving me those very good suggestions!

QuoteJust a quick pointing out that...
... there isn't anything you can experience that someone else hasn't experienced as well.  Nothing is new.  Only new to you.  Smiley
Very true, something to keep at closer to heart and keep things in perspective. :)

QuoteThe last part on decorum being required was an intelligent joke.
Re-phrashed, if the extra placidity wasn't present, most would throw in the towel with an agressive trait present.  grin
Oh, ha ha. so true. Humor often eludes me, thanks for the explanation.

QuoteShortly after these 'lessons' I found myself in a white room. No doors no windows, just an average sized room.
I knew this time I had to get out if it without waking or phasing out.
I have had an experience where I couldn't phase out or wake up; I couldn't even mentally scan and find my body, or even anything outside the immediate parameters.  It was quite an experience,  and tricky in figuring out how to apply the various lessons thus far.  In that one, there were three rooms and a dirt road. I worked in mainly in two rooms, take a walk and ponder for a bit, go back in, try another method.  It took me a long time to understand, trouble shoot, then afterwards, process the experience.  I didn't go out of body for around a month after that, just first a comatose-like sleep, then dreaming again, then back to aps/obes.   I realized I have so much to learn, and really need to practice more after that.

I have been to a white room before though, manifesting stuff, increasing my mental stamina, and force; but could wake up, not phase out though.  I think my guides go easy on me sometimes...I can be a bit derp, derp, with situations. lol.

How did you manage to get out?

Do you have a favorite lesson or technique?
